A Retail area manager at 24 is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to grow along with this new business as part of the world leading foodservice and support services provider Compass. We are bringing the micromarket to the UK and are the first company to do so. We see this as a huge growth area for the business, offering a foodservice solution to clients who may never have felt able to offer this type of benefit ot their employees.

Our Retail area manager will be a motivator and mentor and add commercial values, someone who can guide the “franchise “operators of 24 and those units under your direct control to achieve retail and consumer perfection.. You should have experience leading multiple retail convenience stores or heavily branded units, as you will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and measuring the financial performance of all the locations in your responsibility. You will be part of a small team, committed to high levels of growth so selling the concept to new clients will be part of the remit initially.

Retail area manager Accountabilities:

Leadership

  • A good understanding of yourself and knowledge of how to influence the behaviours of others to achieve goals and get things done, gaining buy-in from all audiences.
  • Setting commercial goals for your region, Develops the offering within the region to deliver legendary customer experiences and sustainable profitability..
  • Manage with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of the Compass Group. 

Business Requirements

  • Providing expertise and executing delivery of business goals:
  • Consistently developing the customer experiences, feedback, understand customer needs and the needs your clients and stakeholders.
  • Utilises management information tools and analyses financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in region performance both direct reports and 24s delivered under franchise.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and “franchisees” to meet brand standards adn drive excellence in execution.
  • Reviews the regional key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement in order to provide continuous improvement to financial results.
  • The ability to spot issues and opportunities before others, and use robust analytical rigour to frame situations, issues and opportunities in such a way that new perspectives can be found.

Planning and Execution

  • Developing strategic and operational plans for regional clients needs, managing execution, and measuring results.
  • Offer management – developing plans from the MI returned from unit epos to drive revenue and profit growth.

The Person

  • A natural leader who has the ability to coach and influence
  • Balanced – can understand the importance of the food offers which impacts the consumer experiences and drive commercial values.
  • The gravitas to develop robust relationship with multiple key clients.
  • The pace and flexibility to grow this brand in the UK
  • Listen and understand the needs of a client and sell 24 appropriately to ensure profit levels to 24.
  • Attention to detail - experience in managing budgets and delivering operational goals.
  • Innovation and passionate in the way you develop and delivery commercial values to your region and to the clients expectations.
  • Experienced within a multi-site retail and third party relationships
  • The ideal candidate will have experiences in the following sectors
    • Food retail
    • Branded Restaurants
    • Convenience stores
    • Franchised brand management
