Job Details

My client was established in the late 1900’s and has grown into one of the nation’s favourite distributors of household products, selling into the top 4 grocery and high street retailers. My client is recognised on a global scale and is currently turning over in excess of £11 million. Their products are of a high quality and unique design and you won’t find anything else like them on in the market.

The Role

Due to continual expansion and rapid growth my client is now looking to appoint a new experienced National Account Manager for Ireland. You will have the responsibility of setting and managing annual budgets across a number of Key Accounts including Tesco’s Ireland and Woodie's. You will have the authority to develop a strategy to increase the visibility of the brand and build on the company’s existing reputation in the market. You will also be targeted on winning new business as well as developing existing accounts.

The Candidate

As the National Account Manager you will need to have the ability to build excellent relationships both with existing customers and new. You will already have experience in dealing within the Irish market. You will be a self-motivated individual that can work in a fast moving environment and at your own initiative. You will also poses 5-8 years of sales and/or marketing experience.

Key responsibilities

  • You will have experience managing national retail customers in Ireland such as; Tesco’s Ireland, Woodie's, Dunnes Ireland and Hamleys Ireland.
  • You will be able to provide evidence of achieving sales, profitability and budget goals.
  • You will have the ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies
  • You will have the ability to effectively monitor category performance versus plan and communicate accordingly
  • You will possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem solving skills
  • You will have strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • You will have the ability to interface and demonstrate leadership both internally and externally
  • You are a high-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and the customer
  • You will have demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customer
  • You will have the ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customer.
