We are currently recruiting experienced Grocery Buyers to join the food team for a renowned multichannel retailer based in London. This is great opportunity to improve your experience with a high profile category and join a business who can offer a clear career development path. The ideal candidate will be offered a highly competitive salary with great benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop supply base and category area
• Sourcing and negotiating new products (Branded / Own Label)
• Drive sales and profit margin
• Conducting range analysis
• Management and training of assistant buyers
Key Skills:
• Strong commercial awareness
• Previous experience in category management with in retail food & drink
• Knowledge of the supply chain process
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Advanced use of Excel
• Management of a direct report
