One of Europe’s most successful manufacturers of ambient and chilled food products has created a new opportunity for Commercial Manager to help further develop their Retail Convenience & Wholesale business. Within the last 10 years the UK business has grown profitably by £90m, this is largely due to their constant development of market leading products. Their impressive product portfolio includes both branded and own label premium ambient and chilled foods. They have a very strong offering within all of the top 6 grocery multiples as well as the various Foodservice channels. Following on from the recent growth of the Convenience & Wholesale channels and the increased demand for their products they have created a new position for a Commercial Manager to grow their existing business and break into new accounts.

Role

As a Commercial Manager you will take full responsibility for the Retail Convenience & Wholesale channels. Customers within this role include Nisa, Spar, Musgrave, Londis, Costcutter, Costco, Makro, Booker and Palmer & Harvey. You will operate at a strategic level and be capable of identifying and then taking advantage of the numerous opportunities that exist within each account. In addition to the development of the mentioned accounts you will be tasked with opening new accounts. To succeed in the role you must possess a can do attitude, a desire to be challenged and a hunger to work in hands on environment. To be considered for this role you must be a driven and dynamic individual with a proven track record of growing and developing business within the relevant channels.  As for product background, my client is open to people from any food or drink category.  It is important that you can fit into a real team culture but also have ability to stand on your own. My client is looking for a loyal individual that wants to be a real part of the company’s long term plans and growth strategy. From time to time you will be required to travel across the various manufacturing sites within Europe.
