Our client is a leading FMCG organisation with huge growth plans in the next few years .

It is essential you are a strong negotiator and have extensive FMCG Grocery buying experience. E.g. Core Grocery, Ambient, Confectionery, Ambient, Soft Drinks, Crisps and Snacks, Biscuits, Canned Foods etc

Key areas of the role will include:

• Negotiation of supplier trading terms to meet financial targets
• Identifying new product development opportunities
• Development of own label product ranges
• Competitor Analysis
• Continually sourcing new suppliers
• Setting promotional strategy
• Working cross functionally with other key business units

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

• Highly developed negotiation skills
• Food buying experience gained for a leading retailer/wholesaler
• Track record of negotiating with branded FMCG manufacturers
• Excellent supplier management skills
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Strong commercial/entrepreneurial attitude
• Ability to work in a fast paced trading environment
